Major items of work include clearing, stripping of surfaces to be excavated, excavation for the tow blanket, excavation to create new wetland habitat, disposal of excavated material off-site, placement of gravel fill, stone bedding, and stone protection for the blanket, placement of organic soil for wetland habitat creation, planting of wetland species, and erosion and sedimentation control. Principle quantities involved are 1000 cubic yards (CY) of excavation, 300 CY of gravel fill, 250 CY of stone protection.
