58 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION -- QUALITATIVE DATA REDUCTION SYSTEM This synopsis is reissued to request information on products for the viewing of digital images via a qualitative data reduction system (QRS). The QRS will be used with the Airborne Separation Video System (ASVS) being developed by DRS Photronics. The QRS will transfer, edit, format, and display images. The ASVS image format consists of color and/or monochrome 512 x 512 pixel images and color and/or monochrome 1024 x 1024 pixel images. The QRS must integrate a DRS color video processor (CVP) circuit card assembly and a DRS specified CVP device driver. The CVP can output processed 24 bit RGB or 8 bit monochrome data to either of its two connector interfaces. Please note this is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation and ultimately award a contract. No funding will be provided. Responses will not be considered to be proposals, and any costs incurred as a result of responding to this announcement can not be chargeable to the Government for reimbursement.
