The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from MathWorks Inc. of Natick MA: MATLAB P/N: MLWIN, SIMULINK P/N: SLWIN, CONTROL SYSTEM P/N: CTWIN, EXCEL LINK P/N: ELWIN, OPTIMIZATION P/N: OPWIN, SIGNAL PROCESSING P/N: SGWIN, SPLINE P/N: SPWIN, STATISTICS P/N: STWIN, AND SYSTEM INDENTIFICATION P/N: IDWIN. Quantity on each item is three. These products are required by the engineers involved with Flight Dynamics and Structural Analysis assigned to the Technical Directorate and matrixed out to various Combined Test Forces and squadron here at Edwards Air Force Base. No solicitation will be prepared or made available for distribution. Award will be made by using simplified acquisition procedures. This award will be issued on the basis of other than full and open competition, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 as stated requirements can only be satisfied by the manufacturer of these items. The award is anticipated to be made o/a 8 Sep 1998. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the COB on the closing date stated above. Telephone requests to be placed on the mailing list will not be honored. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. This information must be received by the Contracting Officer within ten (10) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
