The work includes the permanent closure of six (6) petroleum storage tanks at Gas Hill and Tank 112 in order to prevent and future use. The project also includes, but not limited to, analytical testing, demolition and tank modification, filling some tanks with inert material, disconnection of piping, and incidental related work. This project also contains three (3) option items. Option 1 includes cleaning, disposal of waste and partial demolition of Tank 59. Option 2 includes demolition and disposal of Tanks 104 and 115. Option 3 includes filling six tanks at Gas Hill with soil fill. Tentative issue date of solicitation is 16 September 1998. Bid opening date of 29 October 1998 is approximate. The estimated cost range for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. SIC Code is 1796. The related small business standard is $7,000,000.00. Period of performance is 270 calendar days including options. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. This procurement solicitation will be issued as full and open competition (unrestricted). This is not set aside for small business concerns.
