E-MAIL: Contract Specialist for N00178-98-R-1070, gbyram@nswc.navy.mil. Maintenance for the Class A Electronic Security System (ESS) located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia. The contract shall cover all of the security equipment (hardware and software) of the approximately five hundred secured zones. Maintenance coverage of the Electronic Security System shall be provided twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. The coverage shall consist of preventive and remedial maintenance. The ESS consists of equipment from such manufacturers as Wells Fargo, Secure Data, Cardkey, International Research Association and Systems Design & Integration front end; Field components such as Sentrol, Flair, International Research Association (IRA), Wells Fargo, C&K, Aritech, Detection Systems, etc.; and System Design & Integration card readers and control panels. Anticipated period of performance is one base period of eight months (01 February 1999 through 30 September 1999) with four one-year options. The SIC code for this effort is 7382. Proposals from all responsible sources shall be considered. The estimated date for release of the solicitation is 11 September 1998. The Statement of Work will be provided with the solicitation.
