Leon (703) 767-1167, Contracting Officer D- The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to issue an order to GE Capital Spacenet Services, Inc. for all necessary labor, equipment and materials required to develop, implement and maintain the DDD Jacksonville Distance Learning Satellite Downlink Facility. This requirement is for the equipment and services of GE Spacenet. GE Spacenet is the sole provider of the FTS2000 Wideband Video Transmission Service (WVTS) Digital Satellite Compression Feature (DSCF) available to only Federal Government and Department of Defense Agencies. An integral Part of this service is the Conditional Access Management System (CAMS) which is a unique, proprietary code owned, operated, and licensed by GE Spacenet. The services to be performed on this contract are to provide technical and project management support in the design, engineering, integration, equipment acquisition, installation, implementation, training, and maintenance of the DDD Jacksonville Distance Learning Satellite Downlink Facility. The DDD Jacksonville Distance Learning Satellite Downlink Facility is part of the DLA Distance Learning Network (DDLN). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. All interested parties may respond in writing with information on their product and services with sufficient technical and cost ifnormation to allow for a detailed evaluation to the Contract Specialist, Ms. D.
