The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a Purchase Order with Data Nexus, Inc. to update and revise the prototype Truck Crash Analysis Data System (TCADS). This project will continue to enhance FHWA's ability to provide analytic support for the development and improvement of its motor carrier safety programs. Data Nexus, Inc. is the only known source that can provide this service because: (1)-they have set up the initial TCADS data base, and (2)-Data Nexus, Inc. has extensive experience working with States to develop strategic plans for traffic records improvements, traffic records sytems audit, training and analytic services. No other known source has the necessary experience and knowledge to update and revise the prototype TCADS. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is September 4, 1998.
