for Forward Broadband Airborne Cable, dsmith@aztus.ang.af.mil. DESC:
Potential Sources Sought. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Potential sources are being sought for a replacement for the Forward
Broadband Airborne Cable Assembles (P/Ns 16VEO64-74, 16VE064-76,
16VE064-77, 16VE064-79) on the F-16 Aircraft. The Air National Guard
Air Force Reserve Test Center is seeking a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
(COTS) or Non-Developmental Item (NDI) for the F-16 Forward Broadband
Airborne Cable Assembles. The technology sought should minimize any
redevelopment and non-recurring engineering and must give the F-16
equivalent or better current capabilities to include the ability to
accomplish all current missions. The Forward Broadband Airborne Cable
Assembly will be a single cable replacement for the dual Forward
Broadband Airborne Cable Assembly presently on the F-16 Aircraft. An
engineering change is under consideration, which will replace cables,
16VE064-74, and 16VE064-76 with a single cable and cables 16VE064-77
and 16VE064-79 with a single cable replacement. A single cable
configuration that meets or exceeds current capabilities and
specifications is needed for a replacement of both dual cable
configurations. Questions dealing with specification requirements will
be directed to Gary Grove at (801) 777-7202. Companies desiring to be
included on a source list for this potential procurement should
express interest in writing to: Air National Guard Air Force Reserve
Test Center (AATC), 1600 E. Super Sabre Dr., Bldg. 10, Tucson, AZ
85706-6081; ATTN: Lt Col David Smith. Offerors possessing the
capability to provide the requested aircraft parts are invited to
submit a summary of their capabilities and descriptive literature
addressing the above technical areas. The statement of capability
should be no more then 10 pages and should include relevant background
and experience, names and telephone numbers of contracting office and
technical office POCs. This synopsis is for information and planning
purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or
proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government
to issue a request for proposal or award a contract as a result of
this request. Any further procurement action for this project will be
the subject of a future announcement. The Government will not reimburse
the respondent for any cost associated with information submitted in
response to this request. Posted 08/20/98 (W-SN239566). (0232) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0231 19980824\16-0011.SOL)
