NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH MACH I CORPORATION This publication serves as a notice of intent to negotiate a sole-source contract with the MACH I Corporation under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 ( c ) (1), as implemented under FAR 6.304 to provide support to senior leadership throughout the Air Force by providing them with appropriate analyses, insights, models and simulations to help create and maintain the appropriate force to execute this mission. To accomplish this mission, the Air Force uses several computer based modeling tools. The primary mission level model in this suite of tools is Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM). The contractor shall provide support for the following areas: software development and maintenance, database development and administration, documentation, configuration management, hardware integration, and technical analysis. The contractor shall provide monthly performance reporting to support contract-monitoring activities. Awarding to another source will result in a delay and will impact the agency mission. The period of performance is from September 1998 for a base year of 12 months with four options to be performed thru September 2004 if exercised.
