The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, DC has a requirement for court reporting and transcription services. The contractor will be responsible for providing court reporting services, deposition rooms, transcripts and diskettes for depositions and related proceedings held in the Continental United States and overseas by the Navy Litigation Office of the General Council. ONLY STATE-OF-THE-ART STENOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE RECORDING SYSTEMS. TAPE RECORDING DEVICES SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE. There will be a minimum guarantee of 1,000 pages (ordinary copy with 10-day delivery); 1,000 pages (quick turnaround transcripts with 5-day delivery); 1,000 pages (deposition transcripts with 3-day delivery); and 1,000 pages (1-day turnaround deposition transcripts). This will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for a base year and four one-year options, plus an option to extend services for an additional six months. This requirement will be evaluated on a best value basis including past performance. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12 "Acquisition of Commercial Items".
