N -- INSTALLATION OF RACK SYSTEM SOL 7FXI-W7-98-S062-N DUE 091098 POC J.D. Dunne, Jr., Contracting Officer, (817)978-2690 10/1/98, or date of award whichever is later, through 9/30/99. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for proposals under Solicitation No. 7FXI-W7-98-SO62-N. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. This solicitation is not set aside for small businesses. The list of contract items is as follows CLIN 0001: Materials and on site installation of Rack Systems for the Southwestern Distribution Center located in Fort Worth, TX. Vendor will provide all labor, supervision, and materials for rack system to include two rows of adjustable and removable pallet/shelf racks. Each row should measure approximately 160' long with a stackingheight of 15' to 18'. Row one must include the following: 1.) each adjustable pallet/shelf must have built-in fork guides and a flat, solid stacking surface, 2.) Each pallet/shelf must have a one ton capacity andmeasure approximately 52' x 42", 3.) 34 bays and 396 pallet/shelf locations, 4.) Two manual mast and bridge assemblies (or a device that has the ability to move pallets and put away stock into units), 5.) One bridge bumper kit, 6.) Extended height feature, 7.) Two section single side access aisle, 8.) Four foot cantilever overhangs, and 9.) shimmed to a level row. Row two must include the following: 1.) Each adjustable pallet/shelf must have built in fork guides and a flat solid stacking surface, 2.) each pallet/shelf must have a one ton capacity and measure approximately 52" X 42", 3.) 32 bays and 256 pallet locations, 4.) Two manual mast and bridge assemblies, 5.) One bridge bumper kit, 6.) Extended height feature, 7.) Dual side access aisle, 8.) Two 4' wire baskets (approximately 24" high), 9.) Fifteen EZ roll frame drawers, 10.) Fifty (3-sided) tub kits, 11.) Four foot cantilever overhangs, 12.) Shimmed to a level row. For this project the General Services Administration will provide the following: 1.) One 2,500 pound capacity forklift to unload equipment, 2.) Required electrical service to to the Rack System, 3.) Government bill of lading (GBL) to cover transportation costs between manufacturer site and the installation site. Work is to begin No Later Than October 1, 1998. Prices must be submitted to include materials and installation. No Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday Installation. Installation to be conducted during normal operating hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST. Delivery and acceptance of the installation to be at Southwestern Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX. The provisions at 52.212-1, Evaluation, Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. The evaluation criteria will be price and past performance of similar work. Offerors are advised to submit a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with it's offer. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions applies to this acquisition. Clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses cited in in Clause 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition: 52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government, with Alternate I, 52.203-10, Price or Fee Adjustment for Illegal or Improper Activity. The contractor agrees to comply with the FAR clauses applicable to commercial services which the Contracting Officer has indicated as being incorporated into this contract by reference to implement the provisions of law or executive orders applicable to the acquisition of commercial items or components: Clause 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965, As Amended.
