Danita Davis (210)671-1776 fax (210)671-5063 This is a combined synopsis/solicitaion for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). Submit written quotes (oral quotes/offers will not be considered), on requisition F41636-98-Q1222, to FAX number (210) 671-5063. This procurement is restricted to small business. Project is to furnish all materials, equipment and labor for the installation of Air Purification Filtering in rooms 2016A, 2014B, 2N16E, and 2N13E at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB (San Antonio) Texas 78236. Contractor will provide electrical power for the blowers to each unit and coordinate with government electricians for source of power. Contractor will provide written certification on all new air purification filtering, including efficiency of the filters and air changes per hour in the rooms that the equipment is installed. All units must be within manufacturer specifications and all rooms must be positive pressure and have at least 12 air changes per hour with the units in operation. New HEPA specifications are 99.9995% efficiency at .12 microns. Contractor will sign in and out at EMCS (Room BP20) when working in building. Contractor can work 0730-1700 hours, Monday -- Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Quotes that do not include installation are not acceptable. Site tour available 9:00AM, Thursday 27 Aug 98, at room BP20 EMCS located in Wilford Hall Medical Center. Installation must begin by 30 September 98 and be completed by 15 October 98. Service Contract Act and U.S. Department of Labor wage determination number 94-2521, revision 16, apply to this requirement. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3564.
