This procurement uses Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is being conducted under the NAIS/ARC Pilot for receipt of electronic offers. This pilot was developed in response to the National Performance Review's call for increased use of electronic commerce in exchanging procurement information. Vendors wishing to participate in this procurement must first install and utilize the applications (provided free of charge) identified at http://klatu.arc.nasa.gov/Projects/NAISPilot/NAIS_Pilot/Tools.html Item 01: FPA LWIR Imaging System: Spec: Detector: Focal Plan Array Microbolometer 8.0-12.0 micron, T.E. cooler, 12 bit or greater, 60Hz continuous image storage, real-time p.c. analysis system, 20 degrees standard lens. Quantity 1 EACH. Item 02: 10 degrees LWIR additional lens. Quantity 1 EACH. Item 03: Multiple Filter Wheel Housing Interface. Quantity 1 EACH. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is August 31, 1998. The anticipated closing date is September 11, 1998. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Delivery to Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA 94035-1000 is required by 10-1-98. Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
