The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following Disk Drives manufactured by Seagate. All drives must be provided with HP Firmware. (1) Seagate P/N ST32272N 2GB narrow SCSI drives with HP Firmware (144 each); (2) Seagate P/N ST34572N 4GB narrow SCSI drives with HP Firmware (50 each); (3) Seagate P/N ST39173N 9GB narrow SCSI drives with HP Firmware (12 each). The requested Seagate disk drives with HP firmware will be utilized to support fleet deliveries of the AEGIS Baseline 6P1 Q-70 computer programs. The AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) mission is to provide the facilities and support infrastructure required to support AEGIS computer program lifecycle support engineering (LSE) for AEGIS class Cruisers and Destroyers. LSE includes maintaining, updating, delivering and installing AEGIS computer programs. To support this delivery of AEGIS computer programs to the AEGIS fleet and other AEGIS landbased test sites, the ACC utilizes the Seagate disk drives to support the production processes. The AEGIS Baseline 6P1 Q-70 computer programs are currently being developed by the Lockheed Martin (Moorestown, NJ) utilizing the Seagate disk drives. These Seagate part numbers with the HP Firmware integrated by Seagate must match exactly as these disk drives must be compatible (equipment and applications) with the developers and the AEGIS fleet to ensure the AEGIS Computer Center can support its lifecycle support engineering mission and deliver quality AEGIS computer programs to the fleet.
