Couchman, Contract Specialist, (805) 989-1806 The Naval Air Weapons Station Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA intends to procure for Mail and Messenger Service(Guard Mail)using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated. The contractor shall provide necessary personnel and materials to manage, operate, and maintain the mail messenger service function. This includes all mail incoming to and outgoing from NAWC/NCBC/CAMAIR/NAWS/NAWCWPNS Point Mugu, and all tenant commands. The contractor will be responsible for receipt, processing, distributing, and dispatching official mail, communications (messages, letters, forms publications, parcels, and distribution). The contractor shall also be responsible for picking up all of the official outgoing mail and communications (classified and unclassified), sorting it at distribution point or en route, consolidating Navy mail and communication, and coordinating dispatches with United States Postal Service (USPS) and parcel delivery companies. contractor shall deliver the mail daily to approximately 162 locations identified in the pick-up and delivery schedule listed in the result of reoranizations, office relocations or deactivation. Contractor shall maintain a record of all incoming mail, i.e., estimated number or letter-size envelopes, flats, parcels, and bags received and provide this information to the Point of Contact monthly.
