This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 98-21 is issued as an request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The following items are to be procured under this solicitation: (1)TAGA Ile with Atmospheric Ionization Source Multi-purpose Front End with a one year warranty (2 pc); (2) Low pressure chemical Ionization source (2 pc); (3) Data Acquisition Computer (2 pc); (4) Laser printer (2 pc); (5) TAGA Ile Software (1 pc); (6) ADC Readback system (2 pc); and (7) Mass flow controller (2 pc). Items are to be delivered to the U.S. EPA/ERT, 2890 Woodbridge Ave., Bldg 18, Edison, NJ 08837 no later than 9/30/98. F.O.B. point shall be destination. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable and the specific evaluation criteria are as follows: (1)Technical capability of the item offered to meet Government requirement and (ii) price. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
