synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format prescribed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation, offers are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation is issued as an Request For Quotation(RFQ). This
procurement is Set Aside for Small Businesses. The Standard Industrial
Classification Code utilized is 5084, and the small business size
standard is 100 employees. The Defense Priority Rating for this bid is
DO. Bids are being solicited for the following line item(s): Line Item
0001. 1 ea. Compressor, Stationary Breathing Air and accessories. Mako
model BAC06E3, 13.1 cfm, 5000 psi compressor 10 hp electric motor, 220
volts, 60 Hz, 3 phase with magnetic starter. MK2C Purification System
with three 6000 psi DOT air storage cylinders and three position
containment fill station. If bidding an or EQUAL offeror must provide
manufacturer, and manufacturer part number. The government requires
delivery to be made FOB destination, performance period will be 60 days
after date of award. The destination will be the Defense Distribution
Region West, Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Lathrop, CA 95331-5000.
Standard commercial warranties apply to this acquisition. This
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. The provisions at
FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, and FAR
52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to
this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions
required to implement statutes or executive orders-commercial items,
applies to this acquisition; specifically, the following clauses are

Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.212-7001, Contract Terms
and Conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders
applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this
acquisition; specifically the following clauses are applicable:
252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program (41
U.S.C. 10, E.O. 10582) and 252.225-7036, North American Free Trade
Agreement Implementation Act. The FAR clause at 52.212-3, Offeror
Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, require you to
complete the applicable representations and certifications and include
with your offer. Evaluation will be based on the lowest price,
responsive offer from a responsible contractor. Past performance is of
