This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) 98DR001. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97.5. This is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification code is 3571 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This is an intended sole source. The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to procure, on a competitive basis, a non-personal service to include all parts, labor, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and supervision necessary to provide and install an Associated Press Preserver Single Drive Image Archive System (single 9GB drive) at Bolling AFB DC. The system must conform to current existing DoD owned Associated Press Preserver systems. Quotations must include solicitation number (98DR001), name, address, telephone number, business size/type, cage code, tax ID number and Dunns number, as well as type of small business (i.e., woman or minority owned, etc.) Alll responses must be received by close of business 31 Aug 98.
