The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for the purchase, delivery, and installation the following laundry equipment at the Lake City, FL VA Medical Center. This equipment consists one (1) 80-95 LB capacity washer/extractor, one (1) 400 LB capacity washer extractor and one (1) rotary accumulator, and one (1) 125 LB capacity washer extractor. The above capacities are stated at a minimum and additional requirements and specifications for the new equipment are stated in the Solicitation. A site visit by offerors is necessary to assess installation circumstances for the new equipment and the trade-in value of the existing equipment. The VA anticipates release of a Solicitation on or about August 20, 1998. It is anticipated that proposals in response to this Solicitation will be due no later than 3:00 PM September 17, 1998 with award of a contract being made on or about September 25. Delivery and installation of the equipment shall completed within 60 days after contract award. This procurementwill be a 100% set-aside for Small Business. A Small Business is defined as a business having less than 500 employees. The SIC Code for this procurement is 3582.
