materials, and supervision to perform the following on-site tasks:
Steel plate consisting of grade AISI 4340 and 2 inches thick will be
cut and installed into the floors of the detonation chambers, rooms 142
and 143, of the Explosives Development Facility, Building 3024. The
area to be covered is approximately octagonal in shape with the bottom
area being approximately 5' 9" along each edge. In addition, an extra
projection of approximately 5' 4 1/2" wide by 1' 1/2" deep is required
by the doors. Along the wall near the base the steel lined walls are
angled outward at about 45 degrees. Steel plate musts be cut to match
dimensions of the chambers individually, with edges beveled to fit
against walls. No more than four pieces of steel may be used for each
chamber. Plates do not have to be welded together or to the floor. The
period of performance is three months after the award. FAR 52,212-2,
52.212-2, and 52.212-3 are applicable. Award will be made to the lowest
priced, technically acceptable offeror. Quotations are to be sent to

NJ 07806-5000 by 3:00 p.m. on August 28, 1998. See numbered Note 1.
