sought synopsis. This is not a Request for Proposals. The U.S. Nuclear
Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting a market survey and analysis
to determine the range of available contractors that exists and assess
their capabilities to assist the NRC in certain research and technical
assistance areas. The purpose of this announcement is to provide
potential sources the opportunity to submit information regarding their
capabilities to perform work for the NRC, free of COI. There are no
specific projects to be performed at this time. Areas of interest
statements can be found on this website. All interested parties,
including small businesses, are invited to research this site and
submit capability statements in accordance with the directions at the
website. Interested sources should have the capital, resources, and
background/experience capabilities to perform the work, as well as be
able to perform work free of COI. Information and e-mail sites have
been established at website
http://www.nrc.gov/NRC/CONTRACT/market.html. All interested parties,
including small businesses/small disadvantaged businesses and
educational institutions are invited to submit a capabilities statement
not to exceed four (4) pages describing the types of related services
their company offers. The interested party's capability statement
should identify the areas of interest related to services the company
offers and the company's size, experience and capabilities, and provide
a point of contact by name, address, and telephone number. A separate
capability statement should be submitted for each area of interest to
which a response is made. Interested and qualified sources are also
asked to respond to a questionnaire located at the above listed web
site. Submission of additional materials such as glossy brochures not
related specifically to the area of interest, videos, etc. is
discouraged. Responses are due no later than September 11, 1998.
Because of the volume of responses expected, earlier responses are
encouraged. If access to the website is not available, a copy of the
materials available at the website is available by faxing a request to
301-415-8157 with your name, address and telephone and your facsimile
number (if available). When contacting the NRC for these materials,
please reference "COI Market Research." The Government will not
reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the
