(916) 978-5237 The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has implemented
a real-time operations model for the operation of Folsom Dam, located
on the American River, near Sacramento, California. The model is
coupled with a revised and updated implementation of the SS-SAC
Operation of the National Weather Service River Forecast System
(NWSRFS) that was developed for the NWS California-Nevada River
Forecast Center. Further enhancement of the SS-SAC Operation will be
necessary for full operation implementation of the Folsom Lake forecast
and operating system. The estimated amount of this acquisition is
between $25,000 and $100,000. Under the authority of FAR 6.302,
Reclamation intends to award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis
to Hydrologic Research Center, San Diego, California, who has been
involved in previous development of the model. Interested persons may
identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or
submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for
competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days
after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by
the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this
proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a
