65 -- ALUMINUM APE RESTRAINT CAGES SOL Requisition #31L2598 POC William Bancroft, Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6776 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to purchase on a sole source basis four each #90810 Group 3 aluminum ape-restraint cage assemblies. Specifications include six bolt-together panels, front, two side, floor, top, hydraulic squeeze back, feeder, reservoir waterer and resting bench. Units to be 92" high each. Also included us Edstrom Automatic watering system and Aluminum cable housing assembly, complete with cable, pullies, stainless steel handle. These units are to be used to house chimpanzees that are on hepatitis research protocols. It is intended that these units be purchased from the LGL Animal Care Products Company, 1410 Cavitt Street, Bryan, TX 77801. All interested parties may identify their interests in providing comparable equipment, but must provide provide proof of capability, in writing, to provide an acceptable product by submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model numbers of the equipment. Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information to establish the vendor's capability of meeting the Government's needs will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses are received by the close of business 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a procurement will be named with the above-named source.
