This is a combined synopsis/quote for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written quote will be issued. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a Firm-Fixed Price Supply Contract for RESISTANCE WELDERS, Air Operated, Rocker Arm Type Spot Welder, 75KVA, 220 Volt/60 Hz., Single Phase Welding Transformer and have a forty-eight inch throat depth. Secondary Voltage 5.6 -- 10.0 with a multi step transformer tap switch for voltage regulation. Maximum electrode force at 80 P.S.I. will be 785 lbs. Machine is to be equipped with ejector-type water cooled electrode holders and tips. Machine will be initiated via a 2 stage foot switch. Welding controls will be of the micro processor type with push button data entry and digital display. The parameters of the controls will be absolute and as follows: (1) Squeeze Count: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz. (2) Weld Count/Heat Control: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz, (3) Cool Count: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz., (4) Hold Count: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz., (5) Off count: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz., (6) Weld Impulse Counter: 1 to 99 impulses, (7) Slope Control/Up and Down Slope: 0 to 99 cycles, 50/60 Hz., (8) Digital Phase Shift Current Control: 10-99% in 1% current steps. (9) It will have 4 cycle modes as follows: (a) Non-Repeat, (b) Repeat, (c) Successive, and (d) Chained. All drawings will be in the quote package and/or furnished upon request. Warranty: The machine will include all manufacturer's warranties of at least one (1) year for both parts and labor except for the microprocessor control. The microprocessor control unit will be warranted for a least a two (2) year period. Total Quantity is 3 each. Delivery is F.O. B. Destination to UNICOR, FCI Milan, MI. The provision of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Clause 52.212-2,Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable.
