The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Estill, SC, intends to award a non-personal service contract for providing Adult Continuing Education Instructor services to the inmate population for fiscal year 1999. The Contractor work schedule will normally consist of six (6) sessions per week, with the session length defined as three (3) hours per session, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The sessions will begin at approximately 7:30 am and end 3:30 pm. A Bachelors Degree in Science, preferably in Education either Secondary or Elementary is desirable. However, (3) three years of satisfactory experience in the field of teaching may be substituted for Education, along with a Bachelors Degree. It is desired the contractor have a minimum of (1) one year experience in a correctional setting. Some of the duties are but are not limited to the following: Writing, Reading, Social Studies, Science, Literature, and Mathematics, develop, implement, and enhance programs relative to the high school equivalency for inmates at the FCI and FPC. The Federal Correctional Institution, Estill, SC, intends to award a base year contract in FY 1999 with options to renew the contract for four (4) successive years.
