D -- INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH NCR CORPORATION FOR SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE OF NCR COMTEN HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR TWO DLA SITES. Little (703) 767-1161 The DLA Administrative Support Center (DASC) has a requirement for NCR Comten hardware and software maintenance and intends to enter into a negotiated, sole source, one (1) year purchase order with NCR Corporation for support of NCR Comtens located at two (2) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) sites: Dayton, OH and Tracy, CA. The inventory consists of two (2) model 5655 Comtens. Software upgrades must be available for the entire inventory to maintain host and hardware compatibility. Hardware subassemblies must be available for increased data handling capability, expandable to their maximum configuration. Software and hardware maintenance services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to maintain the equipment at 98% effectiveness. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described products should submit their product and price information. All responses must contain sufficient pricing and technical information to enable evaluation of the cost of the products, and of the capability of the products to meet the requirements of the Agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document or request for quotes exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. Any such request for quotes or solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the request for quotes or solicitation.
