Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health, intends to negotiate
a five year contract with the University of Maryland, School of
Medicine to continue the characterization and maintenance of a unique
colony of rhesus monkeys. The University of Maryland, School of
Medicine shall continue the longitudinal analysis and characterization
of animals during the progression from a normal to a diabetic state as
well as the distribution of body fluids and tissues to investigators.
Statutory authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c ) (1), as set forth in FAR
6.302-1. The cited authority is applicable because of the uniqueness of
