FAX 703-784-5826 The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate
a sole source contract with AeroComm Inc. of Germantown, MD. The
contractor will be responsible for conducting engineering and failure
investigations, as well as the testing and repairing of Dragon Drone
UAV avionics suites and ground control stations for the base period of
15 September 1998 through 30 September 1999 and for the option period
of 01 October 1999 through 30 September 2000. * AeroComm is the prime
contractor for the key Dragon Drone UAV avionics suites and ground
control stations which have previously required repair and maintenance
action. No other contractors which have experience in supporting the
AeroComm produced equipment have been identified by the Marine Corps
Warfighting Laboratory at this time. * No RFP is available for
competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement
of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive
literature and pricing, within 15 days of this announcement to the
contact person listed above. This announcement is not a request for
competitive proposals; however, all proposals received by the date
identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination
by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Information received will be considered solely for the
purpose of determining whether to conduct a ccompetitive procurement.
