The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a provisioning order for one V-22 Full Flight Simulator (FFS#2) under contract N00019-96-C-0054 with Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Bldg. 3193, 22398 Elmer Rd., Patuxent River, MD 20670. This device will be delivered in the CV-22 aircraft (Air Force Design) configuration. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer and producer of the CV-22 aircraft and currently is building FFS#1 (Marine Design) for MV-22 aircraft flight training. The Contractor is the only firm capable of providing the requisite technical data necessary to design, fabricate and deliver the FFS#2. The Contractor has already competitively selected a subcontractor to assist in the building of the FFS#2. Only Bell-Boeing posses the technical data, engineering expertise and the in-depth knowledge of the design, manufacture, operational and performance characteristics of the CV-22 aircraft and FFS#1 to perform this effort.
