COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 13,1998 PSA#2158PROCEDURAL CHANGE FOR PITTSBURGH DISTRICT REGARDING CONSTRUCTION
ADVERTISEMENT In the very near future, the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Pittsburgh District, will be advertising and issuing
solicitations for large construction projects using Electronic Bid Sets
(EBS). AT THAT TIME, THE SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE
ON COMPACT DISK (CD-ROM) ONLY. They will no longer be provided or
printed in a paper hard copy format. Specification files will be
Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or
printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Drawing files will be Continuous
Acquisition and Life-Cycle Support (CALS) files and can be viewed,
navigated, or printed using SourceView Reader. Both readers will be
provided on the CD-ROM. Minimum system requirements to utilize the
CD-ROM are as follows: 486-based personal computer (Pentium
recommended), 17" Monitor, 8 Mb application RAM, compact disk drive,
and Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT. Bid submission
will continue to be in paper medium. Questions may be directed to
