Frazier R -- The U.S.Dept of Commerce/BISNIS requires the services of a contractor to provide BISNIS with information on investment opportunities beyond those cities serviced by the Commercial Service, and where BISNIS employs assistants (i.e. Moscow, St.Petersburg and Vladivostok). BISNIS intends to contact with an organization or individual which can supply vital market intelligence to BISNIS. The contractor will be responsible for providing BISNIS with trade leads, market intelligence and industry and regional reporting on Nizhny Novgorod and surrouding regions. Industry reports will be patterned after Industry Subsector Analysis reports utilized by the U.S. Commercial Service, and will be selected from a list provided by BISNIS. Regional reports will include reporting on the investment climate in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as other major cities/regions. Interested parties must meet the following requirements: 1) have extensive experience performing research and preparing reports on commercial issues. 2) strong contact with the Nizhniy Novgorod business community and government leaders, as well as the the U.S. business and business-related non-government organization community there. 3) have experience working with U.S. Government entities, including knowledge of U.S. policies and procedures, and gathering commercial information for the U.S. government or other organization. 4) be fluent in Russian and English, and able to write reports using standard business English. 5) have an office located at a site in Nizhniy Novgorod which is easily accessible to both local firms and U.S. companies interested in investment and commercial opportunities in the region 6) have the ability to obtain and E-mail account and utlize e-mail. 7) be able to work independently. Contract will be for a 6 month period, with option to extend. Travel within the city of Nizhniy Novgorod and cities/regions for up to 3 trips during the period of performance.
