J -- AMCOM MANAGED ASSEMBLIES AND SUBASSEMBLIES OF THE PATRIOT WEAPON SYSTEM SOL DAAH01-98-R-0145 DUE 092598 POC AMSAM-AC-ML-AA, JoAnne Mankoski, Contracting Officer, 205-842-7630. This requirement is essential to provide a repair and rebuild source with the capability to diagnose, repair and test AMCOM managed Ground Support Equipment assemblies and subassemblies and Missile assemblies and subassemblies of the PATRIOT Weapon System deployed by the Governments of Israel, Kuwait and Taiwan, from Raytheon Company. This acquisition will provide for the FY 99 basic repair of assemblies and subassemblies for a total of 26,802 manhours. This requirement also includes options for FY 99 through 2001 for a total manhours of 120,127. This requirement is sole source to Raytheon Company, Missile Systems Division, Andover Plant, 350 Lowell Street, West Andover, MA 01810, the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will supply agency requirements. The Government does not have in its possession the technical data package suitable and/or cannot provide Special Test Equipment to support competition. The propoosed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source.
