Verso is a product of the Maxcess Corporation. Items to be acquired are Verso Standard Database & System Administration. 2 users, Verso User Upgrade- 8 concurrent users, enhanced bibliographic Management. Cataloging Authority Control, Enhanced Circulation Management, Module, annual maintenance fees, and implementation services. The product will work on a Windows NT platform and be having web gateway capabilities. Intelligent interfaces with DROLS (Defense RDT&E on-line System), and Z39.50. Verso can accommodate MARC, COSATI, and ACCESS records. Items are to be delivered in increments of 25k records at a time. Being able to purchase the system in small parts is essential, because the collection requiresa physical inventory be done. Requirements include installation, guarantee provisions, meeting delivery schedules, training and long-term support commitments, 4 year minimum.
