This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued, all requests for written solicitations shall be disregarded. However, fax or email requests for vehicle specifications will be faxed or emailed to bidders. M67400-98-B-A011 is issued as an Invitation For Bids (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This acquisition is a firm-fixed price contract for CLIN 0001: qty-14, unit -ea; and CLIN 0002: qty-2, unit-ea. Items are described as 1 ton, pick up trucks, double cab, 4 door, 2 wheel (CLIN 0001) and 4 wheel (CLIN 0002) drive, with English or Japanese operating, parts and repair manuals, right hand drive vehicles manufactured for operation in Japan. Vehicles are to be treated for corrosion control with "Ziebart" compound XL5-G, or equivalent with a minimum 3 year warranty against rust perforation. Desired delivery is 60 days after contract, F.O.B. Destination, Camp Fuji, Japan, and Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Required delivery is 90 days after contract, F.O.B. Destination, Camp Fuji, Japan, and Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Inspection and acceptance shall be made at final destination. Final marking instructions will be provided at time of award.
