Candelaria (505) 342-3452 (Site Code DACA47) Description of Work: The project consists of the construction of five single-story structures plus ancillary structures, a new 570,000 L (150,000 gal) elevated water storage tank and distribution system upgrade, sanitary sewer upgrade, overhead electrical feeder upgrade, and new underground power and communications distribution systems. 1. Squadron Operations Facility with attached hangar bay, 3114 SM (33,513 SF) CMU office with pre-engineered high bay; 2. Communication Maintenance Facility with attached high bay, 652 SM (7,015 SF) CMU structure; 3. Logistics Facility 1,040 SM (11,200 SF) CMU/pre-engineered warehouse; 4. Aerospace Ground Equipment (A.G.E.) Maintenance Facility, 477 SM (5,134 SF) CMU/pre-engineered structure; and 5. Storage Facility 658 SM (7,082 SF) CMU/pre-engineered warehouse. Specialized construction subcontractors that will be required for this project will be for Pre-Engineered Metal buildings, masonry, drywall and insulation, sitework (grading, roads and aprons, flexible pavement, fencing, sewer, gas, medium voltage overhead and underground electrical utilities), concrete and structural steel, HVAC, plumbing, sprinklers and alarms, communication (fiber optics and copper cable), interior electrical and landscaping. Demolition of a 372 SM (4,000 SF) metal building, various concrete pads. and fence removal is required. It is anticipated that the IFB will be issued on or about 3 September 1998 and opened on or about 15 October 1998. The SIC Code is 1542. The construction period is 500 calendar days. The magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Any contract resulting from this solicitation shall be Firm Fixed Price.
