Work to be performed: Blast and paint exterior hull, interior trim tks
1 & 2, tanks, pumps, valves reach rods; ut hull plating, piping areas;
repl hull & tank zincs; repair hull deficiencies after blasting;
replace draft numbers and port/stbd 1d lettering; repl #2 equalizing
valve; paint touch up control rm; remove asphalt mn dk cover; relocate
hatch fittings & covers and other trip hazards; repl deteriorated
elect dk ltg conduit; instl non skid in wlakways; remove coal tra
expoxy from tks; replace companion ladder plywood shealthing with
galvanized, repl hinged alum ramps and replace rubber seal. This will
be evaluated and awarded as a Best Value Contract. All contractors who
currently hold or are q1ualified for and willing to enter into an
Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement DFAR (217.71)
prior to award, may submit a bid which shall be considered by this
agency. Firms which donot possess an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master
Hip Repair Agreement are ineligible for award unless adequate time
exists to permit the Navy to perform an assessment of their MSR
application to execute the ABR/MSRA with out impacting the vessel's
