Jordan, (757) 878-2100 The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD), U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), proposes to award a cost plus fixed fee contract, entitled "T55 Engine Component Improvement Program (CIP)" to AlliedSignal Engines, Inc., 111 South 34th Street, P.O. Box 52181, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2181. The purpose of this program is to maintain and/or improve the operational readiness, safety, reliability, maintainability, durability, and mission effectiveness while reducing procurement and operating and support costs for the U.S. Army T55 series engines, by contracting for a series of Engineering Program Notices (EPNs). AlliedSignal Engines, Inc. is now the design authority and prime manufacturer of the T55 series engine and their supporting equipment. Because of their vast experience, engineering/technical expertise, propriety design rights, and design authority, AlliedSignal Engines, Inc. is the only source capable of providing the required response to field and safety problems and component engineering and technical services in support of the fielded T55 series engines. The resultant contract will consist of an one (1) basic requirement and one (1) year option for additional Engineering Program Notices. The Government does not own, nor does it have access to a technical package to provide to offerors under a competitive acquisition. AlliedSignal Engines, Inc. is the only available source; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Performance under this solicitation will require "Export Controlled DoD Technical Data Agreement" certification required for all offerors under this announcement.
