required to install Seventeen (17) 161-kV disconnect switches without
grounding blades, and three (3) 161-kV disconnect switches with
grounding blades at the Jonesboro Substation. Replace jumper conductors
for the new switches in the location noted in the drawings. The
Jonesboro Substation is located at Jonesboro Maintenance Unit, 305
North Floyd Street, Craighead County, Jonesboro, Arkansas. The
estimated magnitude of this proposed acquisition is between $250,000
and $500,000. The completion date is June 4, 1999. A presolicitation
notice has been sent to all prospective contractors on Southwestern's
mailing list. The solicitation package will be furnished only upon
written request and receipt of payment of a $15.00 non-refundable check
for a hard copy of the solicitation with half size 11"x 17" drawings or
a $30.00 non-refundable check for a hard copy of the solicitation with
full-size 24" x 36" drawings. Checks shall be payable to "Southwestern
Power Administration". The solicitation, including drawings, will be
available on compact disk in WP for Windows Version 6.01 format at no
charge. Written requests for the free compact disk may be sent by
facsimile to Fax Number (918) 595-6656. This proposed acquisition is a
Small Business Set-Aside. See Numbered Notes 1 and 26. No telephone
requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible
sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by Southwestern.
