Specialist, 901-577-7228; Fax 901-577-7242 Provide all materials,
equipment, installation and training for RF communications systems at
the VAMC, Memphis, TN. All equipment and software must be Year 2000
compliant. Systems included in this solicitation are as follows: RADIO
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM The radio communication systems shall consist of
six (6) transceivers and a common antenna system with
couplers/connectors to expand the system for two future transceivers.
The system shall iinclude remote control receivers or bi-directional
amplifiers; portable hand-held encoded transceivers, includes
programming equipment and software; UPS; remote consoles; RF
transmission lines; antenna system, including couplers, connectors,
combiners, masts and grounding/lightning protection. The system shall
provide 98% coverage within the facility and within a twenty-five (25)
mile geographic radius. Frequency range between 406 and 420 Mhz. RADIO
PAGING SYSTEM Provide an RF Radio Paging system using advanced RF
simulcast and UHF link techniques to a repeater remote site. The system
shall include dial-in paging terminal, base stations, simulcast
equipment and all necessary interface hardware, software and
interconnections to operate as a stand-alone radio paging system. The
paging terminal shall support analog two-tone sequential paging,
5/6-tone analog, HSC analog and Digital POCSAG and Golay Sequential
code paging formats. The terminal shall come equipped with all
necessary programming equipment, software, and networking (LAN), i.e.
CRT/Keyboard, CPU, Printer, Modem(s), etc. The radio paging will be at
approximately 163 Mhz. DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT Personal
communication service device that will have the following features;
Digital Cellular Phone, Two-Way Radio (Direct Connect), Text and
Numeric messaging page, Voice Mail and Caller ID. Some internal
coverage will be required in designated areas of the VA Medical Center.
