Item 17 is replaced in it's entirety by the following: Provide all necessary supplies, materials, labor, equipment, site supervision and management to upgrade our Nursing Home Care Unit by building a 16,126 g.s.f., 32 bed unit with support spaces. There will be bid alternates which could raise the amount of built space to as much as 21,548 g.s.f for a 40 bed building. All work to be done in accordance with plans, and specifications at the VA Roseburg Healthcare System, Roseburg Campus. The estimated value of this procurement is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Construction must be completed within 270 days of notice to proceed. This procurement action is available for full and open competition. The applicable SIC code is 1542, and the size standard for determination of business size is $17.0 million in annual receipts. The plans and specifications will be available on or about August 17. Requests are limited to one set, and must be in mailed to the Contracting Officer along with a check for $100.00 made payable to the VA Agent Cashier, which will be held in deposit pending the return of the plans and specs. The request must contain the solicitation number, name of project, requestor's address and phone number. The bid opening will take place on September 18, 1998 at 2:00 PM local Pacific Standard Time at Building 1, Room E132, of the VA Roseburg Healthcare System, Roseburg, OR.
