Contracting Squadron is soliciting proposal for Chemical Warfare Agent
Monitoring System. Hand-held chemical/Nerve Agent Detectors. (1) SAW
Minicad mk II (Surface Acoustic Wave Microsensors Miniature Chemical
Agent Detector) (QTY) 2 each. This is a personal, light weight, solid
state chemical agent detector. Simultaneously detect trace levels of
nerve and blister chemical agents. Must operate from either standard,
off-the-shelf lithium batteries or a rechargeable batter pack. Basic
features: fully automatic operation, compact, lightweight (1lbs),
portable, LED and audible alarms, 60 second cycle time, records data,
operating humidity 0 to 95%, non-condensing, requires no user
maintenance, standard warranty one year or 500 hours of use, parts and
labor and 5 years shelf life. (2) CW Sentry (Installed Chemical Agent
Detector) (QTY) 12 each. The CW Sentry is a compact instrument that
detects trace levels of chemical warfare agents. It is fully automatic
and is designed for fixed installations where 24hour-a-day monitoring
is required. The CW Sentry is designed for analyzing ambient air for
traces of CW agents, performing a sample analysis every 60 seconds.
This means of simple switch closures or an optional RS232C serial ASCII
communication line reports alarm concentrations. The CW Sentry can be
incorporated into existing fire detection systems. Features:
