The Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law
Enforcement Affairs is requesting offers for the purchase of cellular
telephone expansion modules and cables for the Tektronix (Formerly
Siemens) Digital Access System Model DASY K5302. Items offered must be
currently produced items and compatible with the Tektronix equipment
indicated above. Indicated below is a listing of the required Items:
(ITEM 1) 25 each Tektronix part number 7KK5302-2RA01 Input Module for
PCM 30 Links, Module DDM. Setting: PCM 30, 120 Ohms. Condition: Cable
for input Module 7KK53025A. (ITEM 2) 25 each Tektronix part number
7KK5302-5AA01 Cables for Input Module (Item 1 above). 4 pieces, Length:
5 meters. Items are urgently required. Any equipment makes and models
indicated above are for reference only. Each bidder is requested to
submit bids with their comparable items of equipment meeting current
industries standards of this type of equipment. All items offered must
be compatible with the Tektronix Digital AccessSystem Model DASY
K5302. The Government will make an award to the responsible offeror(s)
whose offers conforms to the solicitation contained herein and is most
advantageous to the Government (i.e., that which represents the best
value to the Government), cost or price or other factors including time
required for delivery will be considered. The combined relative merit
of the technical evaluation factors listed above will be more
significant than the cost or price factor in the selection of the
contractor. While the cost or price has no numerical weight, it is
criterion in the overall evaluation of the proposals. Furthermore, the
proposed cost or price must be considered reasonable and must reflect
the proposed technical and operational requirements of the needed
equipment. The Government may award a contract to other than the lowest
price offer. In the event that two or more offers are considered
technically equivalent, the evaluated cost or price and delivery time
will be of primary importance in determining the proposal most
advantageous to the Government. Delivery period must not be more than
45 days for shipment of the complete order. Shipment of at least 10
each of Items 1 and 2 within one week after receipt of order is
required. Please provide item specifications sheets and/or brochures,
unit cost, total item cost and estimated delivery date via FAX for each
line item indicated above. All necessary information for quotation is
contained in this announcement. No additional solicitation will be
