The Bureau of Land Management anticipates making a non-competitive
award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) to Michael Rice,
Triumph Exploration and Development, Inc., P.O. Box 926, Pinehurst,
Idaho. This requirement will be purchased at 50% of the Government
determined fair market value as settlement of a compromise agreement
between Mr. Rice and the BLM for a timber trespass. The Contractor will
supply, deliver and place riprap; and resurface approximately 1.75
miles of existing road with pit-run rock. The work locations are
approximately 5 miles south of Pinehurst, Idaho (Shoshone County). The
Delivery Date is 8/26/98 to 11/1/98. A general description of the work
is described below: Nabob Creek Bank Armoring T48N, R2E, Sec. 28.
Supply, deliver and place approximately 1500 cubic yds of riprap for
armoring of Nabob Creek streambanks. Estimated total quantity includes
rock for constructing grade control structures within the channel.
Riprap size will range from 8-inch to 28-inch median diameter;
additional gradation and specifications to be provided by BLM.
Placement will be by a hydraulic excavator equipped with a thumb.
Highland Creek Road and Hunter Trapper Road Resurfacing. T48N., R2E.,
secs. 29 and 32, T.47N., R.2E., secs. 5,6,8,17. Resurface approximately
1.75 miles of existing road 14 feet wide with 1.0 inch minus rock, to
a depth of 6 inches, uncompacted. Work includes haul, spreading and
