Mammoth Cave National Park, Edmonson County, Kentucky is in the process of renovating an existing storage building for offices, and constructing a new building for park labs and curatorial storage. This solicitation involves the excavation, concrete foundation & slab, and block fire wall work associated with these facility changes. The excavation includes the removal and disposal of the existing storage building concrete walkway/driveway +/- 25 cubic yards; the excavation for a concrete slab and slab footing for a restroom addition to the existing storage building +/- 6 c.y.; and the excavation for the proposed 30' x 100' new building foundation +/- 200 c.y. The concrete foundation includes the construction of a 4" slab with 18" x 24" slab footing around the perimeter of a 9'6" x 32'0" restroom addition to the existing building; the concrete footings, foundation wall, columns, and slab for the various functions of the proposed 30' x 100' new building; and a block fire wall and fire wall footing to divide the functions of the new building.
