D: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Austin Automation Center (AAC), Austin, Texas, intends to negotiate sole source with SPSS, Inc. for the software licensing, cross-servicing rights and maintenance support for the proprietary software, SPSS for IBM, release 4.1 (includes SPSS BASE, Categories, Lisrel/Prilis, Tables, Trends). This acquisition is being done per FAR Part 12. Responses must be in writing and must be received within 8 calendar days of this notice. Third party firms will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that they have been granted rights to provide cross-servicing and maintenance on the proprietary software identified herein. No solicitation documents are available and requests for such will be considered non-responsive. If one is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
