Sources Sought for a "Mirage" portable display system or equal. The salient characteristics are: Solid pultruded polyester fiberglass rods, with 120,000 pounds per square inch tensile strength, and all components field replaceable without tools; fully triangulated (and thus self-reinforcing) structural space frame, with detachable locking bars at all hubs for stiffness, and structural truss beam sections for maxium load strength; all locking bars self-release at predetermined stress levels for fail-safe protection against damage to space frame during dismantling; space frame hubs are detachable using 1/4 turn, thumb-screw type connections for ease of repair on the spot; space frame hubs and hub connectors are high-strength "supertough" nylon; curved display for variety of designs and multiple unit expandability; transporter cases that provide compartmentalized parts storage to keep soft panels away from display hardware; by attaching panels the transporter cases can become a table; lockable transportercases are impactresistant hard cases, high density blowmolded polyethylene, and have wheels for ease of mobility; fabric panels are treated with flame retardant chemicals and spread index is 100 or less, and the fabric panel smoke index is 250 or less.
