The wiring system shall be upgraded to Class "A" from Class "B." An existing annunicator with zone for the building, sprinkler, and trouble alarms will be connected with the fire alarm control panel and located at the firefighter's entrance. Existing devices will be used. Audio-visual alarm signals will be located in restrooms and noisy areas. Heat detectors will be provided in potential smoke areas. Smoke and duct detectors will be provided in mechanical areas. The radio transmitter will remain Motorola. For Bldg. 801, provide and install an Edwards LSS4 Fire Alarm Panel compatible with existing panels at the base. The wiring system shall be upgraded to Class "A" from Class "B." An annunciator with zones for the building, and trouble alarms shall be provided and be compatible with the fire alarm control panel and located at the firefighter's entrance. Existing devices will be used. Provide audio-visual alarm signals. Visual strobe signals will be located in handicapped rooms and noisy mechanical rooms and corridors. The radio transmitter will remain Motorola. The period of performance is 90 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation, and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC Code is 1731. Size standard is $7,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 24 August 1998 with quotes due on or about 21 September 1998.
