Provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment and perform all work to install air conditioning systems in four barracks buildings. Include in the systems: 60,000BTU/HR, EER rating of 10, evaporator coil units, condensing units, and thermostats. Install refrigeration systems in accordance with ASHRAE 15 and applicable state codes. Mount air-cooled condenser-compressor on concrete pads, pipe drain from condensing unit and cooling coil to nearest wall site waste, connect units to electric supply and connect controls that are separate from units, install evaporator units in a section of lined ductwork fastened to furnace. Connect return air and evaporator unit. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A payment bond of 50% will be required on award. Performance time will be 45 days. Requests should be received by the issue date of 24 August 1998. Closing date will be COB 7 September 1998. Requests for the quotation must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable certified check, cashiers check or money order payable to the U.S. Treasury in the amount of $8.00 per RFQ package.
