The U.S. Special Operations Command intends to update current MH-47E technical manuals and have them reformatted to an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual, which will be published on a Compact Disc. All data required for the manual updates is maintained by Boeing Helicopters on a proprietary database. As any other firm would have to first gather and recreate the database, the Government has concluded that Boeing Helicopters is the only source capable of providing the required revisions and reformatting within the time frame required by the Government. The anticipated period of performance is 1 Oct 1998 -- 30 July 2000. The Government intends to acquire the required updates through a delivery order to be issued against Blanket Ordering Agreement DAAJ09-95-G-0018 proposed order 1A12. Note 22 applies.
