Mail route is round trip from a USPS facility located on Alameda Avenue in Lakewood, CO, to the Denver Federal Center bordered by 6th Avenue and Kipling Street, Denver, CO, and adjacent areas. Mail route A commences 8:00 a.m. and ends 3:30 p.m. Mail Route B commences 7:30 a.m. and ends 11:15 a.m. Hours of operation are all Government workdays, holidays excluded. The average outgoing daily mail volume is approximately 88 cubic feet. Personnel shall be capable of lifting up to 70-pound packages; a current vehicle operator's license is required. There are no security classifications or bonding requirements for personnel. Vehicle must be of a type which can be secured and capable of accessing loading docks of various heights with a capacity of at least 154 cubic feet. Liability insurance requirements are: $100,000 each person; comprehensive General Lialibity Insurance of $500,000 each occurrence; property damage insurance inthe amount of $20,000 each occurrence. Period of performance is a base year, (October 1, 1998, to September 30, 1999) plus 4 one-year options. Award criteria are: experience of personnel; type of vehicle for mail transport; past experience in mail service; possession of required insurance; mail run prices. The award date is within 30 days from the closing date of the Request for Proposals (RFP). All responsible sources shall submit a written offer which will be considered by the MMS.
